Sale & Purchase

We specialise in buying and selling ships, both on the second-hand market and for newbuilds.

Our expertise goes beyond simple transactions: we negotiate the price of vessels on behalf of our clients to secure the best deal.

We manage all the local and international logistics of the transfer of ownership, including the transfer of title so that new owners obtain all legal rights to the vessel, and we coordinate the banking arrangements behind the transaction.

Call for tender & market surveys

For numerous clients, Socomet puts together the entire call for tender package: operational information, HSE documentation and security requirements, plus the commercial, technical and contractual submissions.

Shortlisting & advice

We collect every response within a set deadline, prepare a digestible package, then take part in the technical and commercial shortlisting of units, factoring in local content, taxes and each bidder's track record in the country of operations.

Market surveys

Prepared to the same standard, mapping available tonnage against your technical and operational requirements. Ask us for a copy of our market survey and call for tender templates.
