We have extensive expertise and dedicated brokers to support offshore subsea projects, either for urgent subsea interventions or in support of longer term IRM scopes.

We have the technical know-how to support projects ranging from SURF (subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines), IRM (inspection, repair, maintenance) and FPSO (floating production, storage and offloading) hook-up and commissioning projects that call for precise knowledge of the saturation and air diving, diverless / ROV (remotely operated vehicle) and W2W (walk to work) / accommodation vessel markets.

We specialise in buying and selling ships, both for the second-hand market and for newbuilds.

Our expertise goes beyond simple transactions: we negotiate the price of vessels on behalf of our clients, ensuring the best deal. We also manage all the local and international logistics involved in transferring ownership, including the transfer of title to ensure that the new owners obtain all legal rights to the vessel.

We take care of every detail to ensure a smooth transition. In addition, we coordinate the necessary banking arrangements to facilitate the financial aspects of the transaction.

For the account of numerous clients, Socomet is increasingly asked to put together the entire Call for Tender package, including market surveys.

The package covers all operational information, HSE documentation and security requirements, as well as the essential commercial, technical and contractual submissions. Once launched, Socomet collates all the responses within a set deadline and prepares a digestible package for our clients.

In close collaboration with clients, we take part in the technical and commercial shortlisting of units, leveraging our experience to provide tailored advice while considering factors like local content, taxes and bidders’ track records.
